Last summer was quite a success for us, making the 1st edition of this charitable road-trip happen! It was actually a great sense of achievement for the four of us who travelled to Kosovo, delivering a total of almost 100kg of equipment to offer to children participating in a summer class organized by the charity we are supporting: Balkan Sunflowers! Our donations allowed more than 60 children to be ready for the start of the school year in September.
All through this academic year, some students from the Printing and Graphics Art Industry department at the College “Lycée Polyvalent Les Iris” (Bordeaux, France), closely worked with our printing partner Azo Print (London, UK) and us, on the new graphic identity for Wanderlust Road Trip Relief. The work they did on the project was their assignment in a professional environment as part of the final evaluation for their degree.
Based on the great quality of their work and the value it added to our project, we are now looking for a similar partnership with another College or University. We have also been reflecting on how best to take the project forward to reach it’s goals. While the first year’s trip was certainly a success and an important step, we are now looking to recruit a larger number of participants. Given our limited resources, we have decided that the best way to provide the project with the marketing and recruitment drive needed for it’s expansion, is to collaborate with a business college or university, who will make Wanderlust Road Trip Relief their assignment for the coming academic year. After much deliberation, we have decided that rather to make the road trip this year with a small number of participants, our efforts and resources would be better focused on the development of this collaboration, aiming for a much expanded version of the road trip in 2016.
We look forward to see you on this second road-trip!
